Access to the Treasury of Atreus

The Treasury of Atreus is located near the Archaeological Site of Mycenae, approximately 120 km from Athens and 24 km from Nafplio, making it easily accessible for visitors exploring the Peloponnese.

🚗 By Car: The site is about a 1 hour 30-minute drive from Athens via the Corinth-Tripoli highway (A7). Free parking is available near the entrance.

🚌 By Bus: Public buses from Athens to Nafplio and Argos run regularly. From there, you can take a taxi to Mycenae, which is just a short ride away.

📍 Walking Distance: The Treasury of Atreus is just a few minutes’ walk from the main Mycenae Archaeological Site, making it convenient to visit both attractions on the same trip.

  • Summer Season (April 1st – October 31st): 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Last admission: 7:30 PM)
  • Winter Season (November 1st – March 31st): 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Last admission: 3:00 PM)

Holidays & Special Hours:

  • January 1st, March 25th, May 1st, Easter Sunday, December 25th & 26th: Closed
  • Good Friday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Holy Saturday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
